Football Podcast
Speaker 1Hey, it's 60 Yard Lines, a podcast where we tackle more than just touch-shouts. We'll talk about game recabs, news and football fashion. We're here to bring you a fresh female perspective on America's favorite sport. So grab your jersey, pour yourself a glass of wine and let's dive into today's exciting play-by-play-on-life laughter. And, of course, look hey, hey, we are here.
Speaker 3Hi you look closed on.
Speaker 1Oh well, I like it. We'll find out. I guess we promised you we'd be back. We are back, we are back. So what again do we have going on? This is amazing.
Speaker 2Yes, as usual, we have to start with our drink of the week, because before you do anything, you have to drink, right? So today we have cranberry margaritas, which are quite tasty, but I must say so myself and they're beautiful oh my gosh. They smell cute and sweet. Really good holiday drinks.
Speaker 3And easy and easy to make, Like we saw you shake these and they have rosemary in them. They're fancy looking. Yeah, I was a legit shaker.
Speaker 2You were a shaker shaker, tom Cruise. And what's that movie? Cocktail, cocktail, cocktail. Yes, that was me.
Speaker 3So here's this one. We're in the holiday season, ladies. Yes, we are officially our little Christmas trees are here, Cheers girl, you guys want to know how to make these.
Speaker 2Yes, yes, so it's two shots of tequila, but you have to get like really good tequila. So, like um, customigos is one of my favorites. The one that is a miss starts with a T and I can't remember the name, but it is the rock. It's like the rocks.
Speaker 1I don't drink tequila, so I don't know.
Speaker 3Oh, like this time I drank tequila with you. We went downtown to do like a teaching class, oh, and every drink was tequila. Yeah.
Speaker 1Oh, this was not that long ago actually. So and then, yeah, this was not 20 years ago, by the way, just so you know.
Speaker 2So two shots of tequila, one shot of triple sec, and then fill the shaker up with cranberry juice and then squeeze half a lime in there, shake it up with some ice, and that will get you two or three. It got us three.
Speaker 1Yes, we actually out of one and she put salt around the rim. Yeah, amazing, for you Fresh cranberries in it and some rosemary.
Speaker 2It's rosemary, it's fancy, it's to make it.
Speaker 3Christmas-y, it's perfect.
Speaker 2Yeah, there's the strength.
Speaker 3And I like it because it's not sweet.
Speaker 2No, it was super easy to make. It's like balanced.
Speaker 1It's delicious, there's no calories. Zero calories Zero calories, no calories.
Speaker 2And you will be UTI-free.
Speaker 3Like we come here, to bring you real stuff. Oh, that's amazing.
Speaker 1And then we have on the other side of the table by Danielle. So, I taste a little snack.
Speaker 3I don't know if I can show it, but Dawn made an amazing dip, yes, it is amazing.
Speaker 1We're going to post all these recipes, by the way, on our page, but this one is a feta dip. It is cucumbers, tomatoes, green onion Can you hear how good it is Olive oil, green dressing and feta cheese. And this shout-out goes to Fancy Nancy. You know who you are. She is the queen bee of cooking, so I always call her when I need some good recipe ideas.
Speaker 3So I'm telling you, I've had feta dips before and I've had some amazing ones with the same thing Cucumbers, tomatoes. That is the best one I've ever had. It's delicious.
Speaker 1I was excited. Yeah, so look at us. We've so far, we're winning already.
Speaker 3Yes, so are we going to talk football today? I think so. So I am normally Switzerland because I'm from Ohio.
Speaker 2Well, not today.
Speaker 1No, I don't even like Ohio.
Speaker 3State, which is hysterical because I'm from Ohio. But I just saw this cute sweatshirt at Marshall's. It is like it's very cute, so cute, can't do that, can't do that with green.
Speaker 1So let's first talk about the Thanksgiving, because we talked about Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, what Like? Let's what? Give us some good stuff. How'd your food go, katie, though?
Speaker 2It was great. Yes, we, as you know, I had it catered from Biff's Back Air Barm Queue and it was Our sponsor, yes, our sponsor, biff, and it was delicious. The cat was kind of out of the bag because I talked about it. And who? Knew my family would actually listen.
Speaker 1Well, that's a surprise.
Speaker 3Our moms are our number one fans.
Speaker 1I know.
Speaker 3We are. I gotta be honest, if they were just for our parents, we would think we are pretty young people, so so yeah, everybody knew.
Speaker 2But it was fine, the food was delicious and it was a great time and you had a ton of people 26.
Speaker 3That's amazing 26.
Speaker 1I would have done the same thing.
Speaker 3How did your?
Speaker 1Thanksgiving go Dawn. It was great. We went to family. We didn't host, so we just brought food over and it was the most relaxed day, except watching the Lions game was a little bit challenging, we'll talk about that. But the it was just relaxed and chill, no drama, no stress. Weather was incredible. So the boys' recipe and football, it was just oh, that's cute, yeah, so if I'm about you, same thing we did, like some family games.
Speaker 3I feel like I'm like that. My kids wanted to kind of be home and hang out, but then we do like usually movies when they're home. And so my 17 year old son wanted to watch a movie. And you know how you like want to watch a movie and everyone's into it, and you're flipping through. You have 500 channels and you can't find anything to watch. Well, he was talking about how good the hangover was. So he saw a hangover and then he's like let's watch Hangover too. So it was me, my 17 year old son, my mom and my mother-in-law, so two grandmas, a mom and a son, and I've seen it before but I forgot, so we turn it on. Oh my God, that is not the movie you want to watch.
Speaker 1It's not the family movie with the Ramas, oh, and at one point.
Speaker 3I heard one grandma oh my God, that's great. Lot of lot of penises in that movie.
Speaker 1I don't know what else to say. Well then, maybe this is where I have a question for you guys.
Speaker 2Speaking of penises.
Speaker 1Speaking of penises, who did this, who did it and you know who?
Speaker 2you are, we need to know.
Speaker 1And we need to know, but this should I show them closer Dong had a special package she did from a secret admirer.
Speaker 2It is a Christmas ornament in the shape of a peanut and it says D's on it. Like D's nuts, like D's nuts. She has no idea where it came from.
Speaker 1No, but it is centered on my Christmas tree, just so you know. And you called and tried to. I called all my suspicious people because I have a few that are very highly under suspicion for this kind of stuff. And it showed up randomly in a package that I opened up at my kitchen counter when everybody was here the day before Thanksgiving. I was like, oh, what's this? And I opened it up and it was laughing so hard and I called my brother I'm like you did this. He's like it was not me.
Speaker 2I called one of my aunts.
Speaker 1They're like it was not me called my mom.
Speaker 3The best part is you went to get it upstairs to show everyone. It was on your tree, it's on my tree.
Speaker 1It's right in the middle.
Speaker 2I mean, I got to say I'm a little jealous. No one ever sends me anything. Well, you know, I could take a D's nuts ornament.
Speaker 3No, I've never really got what she wants for Christmas. Have you ever got a pick sent to you? I hear it Like have you ever got a pick? No, no A pick, like a dick pick.
Speaker 2Oh, I thought you meant like a hair pick and it's like what Send you a hair pick.
Speaker 3No, don't you hear people talking to get random.
Speaker 1Yeah, I haven't, thank goodness, thank God, I don't need anything. That's so weird.
Speaker 3No, and one you haven't seen before.
Speaker 2That's like literally to all our viewers. You have those. Don't take pictures of them. No there's not cute and don't show these episodes.
Speaker 3Yeah, we might have to take this one up.
Speaker 1I know, are we getting canceled today? I'm getting caught out again, I think I say it's cut out. So Should we talk a little bit about football starting with our Fearless Lions. Wow, it was a bomber. They did not play well. It's like the longest game of our life.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, it was a good one, and it's so hard to when, like, they beat a team before. So you're like, don't we men? And you're like Expectations are high right. Yeah, and it just does not go well.
Speaker 1Well, and we were talking last week about Dan Campbell's gutsy calls, and this time it kind of bit him in the ass.
Speaker 3I felt like we just didn't have it together. And who? Who's the quarterback for the Packers?
Speaker 1Oh Karen was love.
Speaker 3Okay, so he, every time he watched him he was like ten yards back, right, he had tons of time, so much time, and every time you watch golf it was like he had a little bit of time and he would like think and think and think and then somebody would come behind him and just Mall amounts.
Speaker 2Did not do well.
Speaker 1Not at all. I the one, the one call. That really bothered me, which changed, I think, a good portion of the game, was the choice to go on fourth and Three and not getting it and then fumbling it Brilliant if it works right.
Speaker 3Well, when?
Speaker 1it doesn't that one destroyed us.
Super Bowl Halftime and Football Calls
Speaker 3So if you're a quarterback, like okay, so I get it. If you step far enough back, like the other one, you can kind of see the people coming right. So there were multiple times where he did not like you don't, you don't hear that huge dude coming at you, like Like breathing. Yeah, he didn't see anybody. They just came behind him and just oh tear.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was rough. There was a lot of holes in there that to me were just it just wasn't a good game. But there then I was excited because oh, at least we have the half-time show.
Speaker 2Oh, how about that half-time show? Oh goodness, yes.
Speaker 3So I love him, it's been like my youngest daughter what's popping was like one of her favorite songs, and then I don't know, I feel like he Jack Harlow, right. So he played a lot of his good songs and they played a new one, but it just I don't know. I felt like the stadium really didn't do it for him. Like, did you guys see Dolly Parton for the Dallas Cowboys? Yes, I mean, come on, she's 77 years old.
Speaker 1She came out in the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 2She later uniform.
Speaker 3Unreal. I think she might have been lip-syncing but it didn't matter because she played all the good songs. But I noticed like the backdrop was all these like gorgeous lights and I feel like Jax was kind of dark and like I liked all the songs he played, but he was singing to the camera. It just didn't have the same like wow factor. I felt like hers was like the Super Bowl.
Speaker 1Well, and I kind of feel like that's. The difference, though, is that these guys go out there and you know it's Super Bowl, it's an entire show. These guys have like 10 minutes, put on the best you can, but we're putting at the end of the field. Then you're gonna be in this little space. It's not like what the Super Bowl is, so it's disappointing, because, if you expect it, like I'm yeah, you're so excited and it wasn't, it wasn't yeah, and telly parton's been doing it for so long like he's.
Speaker 3You know what I mean. Like so Hopefully. I don't know it was so good, it just wasn't like amazing.
Speaker 1Yeah, I was engaged that whole game and day I could pass that one by.
Speaker 2So I mean, everything is better with wine, though. I mean I just kept drinking wine and all look good to me and didn't?
Speaker 1you were cooking, so it was like you were exhausted. Anyway, you had to like.
Speaker 2Based those that those turkey.
Speaker 3We had like a delay on our TV so I could hear Kevin in the basement Basement Screaming. And then at one point right at the end of the game, liam like touch the remote, my son, and it like pause it or something, yeah, I'm gonna go back. And then that happened at the Michigan game too. We have like a delay on her so I could hear everyone yelling.
Speaker 1But Come on.
Speaker 2It's like actually kind of hopeful there at the end and then we need to that pick right at the end I'm like no, that was a good game, though, because you, you do wonder oh my god, I'm here. I'm here. You look like an asshole.
Speaker 1You know what a winning. This is the color winning. So. So this is actually a custom painted Helmet that we got for my son.
Speaker 3That fits on your tiny ass yeah it's well, it's.
Speaker 1I actually took your pants up because I thought I would wear up, because it was so hard to get. I was like I gotta be able to wear it, but I can't wear it, so um, I, I, we I had will help in me get the, get all the stuff I need.
Speaker 3So yeah, so this is that really she would be in one of the moms on those videos on tiktok. That goes against her little son like will right. And they're like mom against son and you just like.
Speaker 1Nile, we're not giving away wins, we're not doing that. So, yeah, so I actually did this for Katie.
Speaker 3Yeah, I thought if she wanted to take it home with her, I don't know, but I know Soon as Michigan State starts winning, I wear I mean sweatshirt for that.
Speaker 2We have a new coach. Now, guys, do we?
Speaker 1we, we have got stop. So although they won, it was still a challenging game was one of those games. I was shocked. You didn't know who was gonna win. You didn't know who was gonna win, I'm just.
Speaker 3I actually thought right at the end I was like oh shit, oh, I was dates gonna get it.
Speaker 1It was. It was a little scary, but the other thing that was, I think, the way they played. I mean there was an excellent game overall. It was just an excellent game, but there were so many back and forth. I was like I did not have an expectation until the last more like review.
Speaker 3There was a bunch of reviews of the way we were talking about this too, like sometimes in games it's just like I don't know you watch something new happens in every game. Yeah, like what is that? Why is?
Speaker 1that happening? Yeah, there's random calls that if you don't know, and we are always asking our husbands like what was that? Why would they do that? You know they had.
Speaker 3I'm asking my 60 year-old line friends in a text that's right, we were a Twitter tax.
Speaker 1I don't even bother. That's my husband, I asked on Katie we come up with and whether we're right or wrong. We just make sure we were talking about. Should we talk about the kick, mmm?
Speaker 2So you're talking about when the announcers made the comment which Was confusing to somebody who doesn't know what that comment was supposed to mean when he said that he had a Free practice kick, yeah what did, you, do I did not understand that at all, because essentially, what they were trying to do was ice the kicker right which, coming from someone who I grew up playing volleyball and you do that to the server occasionally- too right. So you'll you call a timeout to ice the server, but you don't get a free try, like I didn't. I didn't understand why he got to.
Speaker 3Okay, so you? So you ice the server in volleyball, but they're ready to hit. So if you call a timeout and then they hit it, they get to hit it again right.
Speaker 2Yeah, they don't hit it though, like if you call the timeout they stop.
Speaker 1Based on, that's typically the way it's called in football Is that the kicker is already in motion.
Speaker 2So it's hard for him to stop his motion, so they can kick it, and in this case, I feel like you shouldn't be able to call him out if he's already. I do too. I feel like we need to change the rule.
Speaker 3Because it's kind of weird, because the chances of making two-eyed thing right would be harder than yeah. Like if you're gonna call a timeout, you should have to get the timeout before the studies.
Speaker 1And yes, well, the thing is, I think they do, so it is right when the stamp is done by that time, the kicker is already lined back up.
Speaker 3You can see the coach. He was literally like the breath was standing next to him.
Speaker 1He's like I'm gonna call a timeout with three but if he didn't and that kicker was not in motion, then that's a problem.
Speaker 2I feel like this is one of those times where we act like we know what we're talking about and we may have a right.
Speaker 1Yeah it's a mean. I think we're right.
Speaker 3Yeah, it makes perfect, but I mean, I didn't know, at the time I was on the couch and I was like a practice kick. Why does it get a?
Speaker 1practice kick. But if you, if they, if they call a timeout right when the ball is snapped, okay, yeah and that kicker. They decide they're not gonna. Well, it's a huge football game now. Yeah, now that ball is live. Yeah, it's not a ball, it's gonna work, we're like. So you're 10 feet away from the server and you blow the whistle.
Speaker 3So any huge game like that on the sidelines he says to the ref timeout right before he kicks it.
Speaker 1I didn't even. The kicker is a new mark. The kicker knew it was gonna happen, but he still can't. You can't risk it not being of timeout and he doesn't kick me, have any kids that he made it and then the second chance.
Speaker 3He got what after the timeout? He missed it. So it was a great, it was a great call. I just I have never really heard of that.
Speaker 1Yeah, there's so many of those calls, though, that I'll like see something. And I'm so confused I'm like why, why would you do that? And then I'll talk to somebody and they'll be like, well, think about logically, like if they do that, then this could happen. And I'm like oh yeah, so, and I happens all every game I find something happens like a mind game though too.
Coaching Contracts and Black Friday Shopping
Speaker 3Yes, you're right it is. That's the main point of it.
Speaker 1So, all right, let's talk a little bit about state.
Speaker 2Yes, we have new coach. Yeah, I I know I don't really know like I it seems kind of neutral, like I don't think there's anyone that's like super excited about it.
Speaker 3It's just like okay, next chapter.
Speaker 2Let's see what happens.
Speaker 3Is that like? Who is this guy?
Speaker 2Yeah, like I mean, probably some people do, I I don't, I'm just like okay, like this is. But you know what I think is weird? His season's not done yet at Oregon state, like they have to play a playoff game.
Speaker 1Yeah, or bowl game.
Speaker 2I'm just a bowl game, so, and so he's not coaching the bowl game, like he is done there and he's here now and I couldn't figure out, like why wouldn't you just finish up the season, like those poor kids that want to stay like why not finish up the season and then come?
Speaker 1In his record. There wasn't stellar anyway, but still those kids are like that is weird.
Speaker 3They want to finish the bang and now they're gonna have their coach. Was it Texas, or who's the coach that got that? Maybe they fired him and he still had like a Contract left. That was like millions and millions. Oh that they just paid out that was Sane, it was.
Speaker 1it was not just a contract, it was like 80 million there's like 78 million.
Speaker 3Oh my, it's the weirdest thing. Do you remember? So the lions remember back in the day they had it was like a five or six or eight million dollar contract. Remember the old manager of the Lions I can't remember his name, but they had to pay it out but 70, some million, 78 million dollars, and at some point is it just gonna break the system, where they're like hey, we're not gonna get contracts for five or six years, we're gonna do one or two, one or two years, but like their agents, they know right.
Speaker 1They lock them in, especially these athletes. Not even coach us so much with the athletes. You don't need to perform, think about like.
Speaker 2these are colleges where, with Two kids in college, I'm paying a shit ton of money in tuition and these guys are getting, yeah, millions of dollars to coach up a ball team.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's crazy. I don't it's. I've always thought that it's.
Speaker 3And I'm for somebody to have like a phone call with a.
Speaker 1Okay, okay.
Speaker 3You need to find them and be like getting Giving up money, but I want my tuition that tuition money went in your pocket, other things.
Speaker 1But yeah, I think it's crazy, and I said this is when you look at some of the industries out there where these people don't make that kind of money, the safety industries, the education in your life, oh gosh you know, but you know what? I also know I pay high dollars for entertainment, like I paid all my stuff.
Speaker 3So Kevin was telling me about a game he went to and I don't know what game it was, was definitely a college game, but he was sitting like in the family section and it was a coach and I don't know if they like weren't losing, like they were losing an important game or something and Like the head coaches, kids were there in all the section and the fans screaming at them like Cousin and oh my god, people take football so serious. Oh yeah, there's a certain point where it's kind of like really, yeah, I mean it's, but I guess it's just like anything.
Speaker 1It's whatever your passion is. I mean, I remember when I was little and we would come into the living room which I was doing this to my kids the other day, by the way and we'd run into the living room and my uncle would scream get out of the way the TV. And I'm like he's crazy. And now my kids came rolling in the living room.
Speaker 1Yeah, I was like, yeah, I'm like. Oh my gosh, I'm him. This is not good, so I did. While we were talking football, I Watched this video the other day it's from this weekend of the coach for Oklahoma Running out of the tunnel and it's like even at our games how they have the smoke going and stuff like that.
Speaker 1Yeah, so they have a smoke going and hate, trips and face, which is it's not funny. I mean it's, it was hilarious. And as he fell, all the smoke is coming, so none of the players can see him and they have one by one or just face-planning over top of the sky. He never gets a ping, he gets pummeled, oh my. God Did they.
Speaker 2Was he like okay.
Speaker 3I know You're laughing and I'm watching the video like, oh my God, it's gonna get trampled. It was so great. So when you check out the code, but you could see a little head down in the smoke and then you could see kids like huge lime and like tripping over his head, pulling their pants back.
Speaker 1Oh my, God so we're gonna include that link because it is worth at least the watch. So I had to go and watch it Because that was really, really funny.
Speaker 2I knew that happens a lot. I mean, was it like more smoke than usual? It did look smoky.
Speaker 1It looked smoky. I think it was smoky. You couldn't see, but it looked like he like lost his balance. He started to lean forward and then boom, and the guy right behind him.
Speaker 3You just see him, you see him trip, and then you see the next time you tried to get up. That's terrible. At one point you probably just go like take cover, like I don't want to get a clean.
Speaker 1You're like trying to roll out of the way they all look back like they tripped over a rock, Sorry coach, Sorry, coach Game we got Keep running, Keep going boys Keep going, boys Keep running, keep running.
Speaker 2So funny.
Speaker 1So the other thing that happened this week was Black Friday.
Speaker 3That's my football, baby, oh that is Don't get that girl. Oh, I didn't go out, I don't go out, I was online.
Speaker 2My kids all went out. They said it was really busy this year which is probably a good sign. Right, like it was really busy, but I'm more of an online Black.
Speaker 3Friday Me too and then, after like having a bunch of wine all day and you're tired, you cook, you go to lay in your bed and you buy dumb shit Like what, what did you buy you?
Online Shopping and Funny Purchases
Speaker 1smiled like well, I'm thinking about more, like when I make those crazy purchases with it, when I've had like a little too much wine, and I'll go on, and those stupid ads pop up. And I have two parts to this. The first part is when I buy something and then I go somewhere and see somebody wearing the same thing and I'm like damn it, like we got sucked in.
Speaker 2I want to go. We got sucked in You're right.
Speaker 1You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right.
Speaker 2You're right.
Speaker 1I'm not going to buy anything for just one day, which I'm yeah, I'm going to tell you guys which ones they are, because I actually really like them, but from that app, teemu Teemu.
Speaker 3Teemu. I've always wanted to buy from there, but I'm scared because Teemu Maybe.
Speaker 2I've always wanted to buy from there, but I'm always like why would this cost four dollars? I just bought a bunch of shit from there on Friday. One of the things I bought was, hopefully, a gift that I'm going to actually give to one of my nieces, and it cost 99 cents. Oh my God.
Speaker 3I can't wait to see it. Sterling silver 99 cents. It's like a bracelet maker.
Speaker 2I think my little niece will really like it.
Speaker 3For 99 cents. What's in it? Like beads and stuff.
Speaker 2No, it's like the thread that you knot, you know. So like it's like this whole thing and you hook it up and then you knot it and it looks like how much was shipping? 17.99. I actually don't know. I haven't seen much of mine. I don't care, you just want to check out here like under 29 cents Like 99 cents.
Speaker 1There you go, a little niece. I bought a pair of shoes on there. How they are? You love them, I love them, but you got to be careful.
Speaker 3But you can't like turn them upside down.
Speaker 1They're full plastic.
Speaker 3And when I say were they supposed to be?
Speaker 1No, they look like these leather shoes. So I got them and Eva. They came and Eva was like, oh my God, those are so cute.
Speaker 2And then, as I was, walking out of the house.
Speaker 1She's like what are those? I'm like, I feel like like Lego plastic on the bottom. She's like, yeah, it was unbelievable, but they were like 11 bucks and I love them. But I'm going to tell you like I've worn them three times because they're so loud, because they did they sound like.
Speaker 3Lego. You have to buy some of those pads.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Well, I can't wait for myself to show up, because I ordered, like these little, like Christmas trees, like these ones that we have, like I don't know what you call them, but there was 15 of them for $3.99.
Speaker 1And I ordered some garb of them 15,.
Speaker 2What the hell are you going to do with 15? I don't know.
Speaker 3I was such a concierge. I'm going to go over Katie's house and there's going to be one in every room, everywhere.
Speaker 1Hey, daniel, I know what we're getting for Christmas. Yes, Right.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's going to be a good ending Christmas trees and a bracelet Right, oh my God.
Speaker 1That's what I mean. What about you? What have you bought?
Speaker 3So last year I definitely it was probably around Black Friday, because I feel like it was around Thanksgiving. I was shopping in bed at like midnight and I saw Snoop on a Stoop. Have you?
Speaker 2ever heard of that? Yeah.
Speaker 3So I haven't been last year of the year before best purchase I ever made. So it's kind of like Elf on the shelf and it's like a miniature Snoop on a Stoop and he looks like the elf but he has green and white on and he's holding a blunt. It's a. I gave it to my God.
Speaker 2Speaking of Snoop, you guys did you see that his whole like I'm not smoking, not anymore. It was just a like a spoof, I didn't add it at all. It was an air for those smokeless fire pits.
Speaker 1Yes, is that real?
Speaker 3Yes, I saw that I was so mad because you and I talked I was like guys.
Speaker 2Did you hear? Snoop gave up smoke conversation.
Speaker 3He said I gave up smoke and everyone was like, oh, he was advertising. It was an advertising.
Speaker 2Makes him rap music dude, right, I mean, I like him better smoking.
Speaker 1I was going to say, would we like him as much? No, I'm glad that he's not. He would turn into a old buddy.
Speaker 3You heard it from money or something.
Speaker 1No, Doing the solo smoker. Is that what it's called, solo smoker or?
Speaker 3whatever, we are not sponsored by this, but that was a good purchase. I was like I. When I got it and arrived at my house, I actually forgot I ordered it, and so I. You know, you get that weird box that looked like spin through L and you have to cut it open and get through all this stuff Did it smell like weed when you opened them.
Speaker 3It was amazing. I think the past is true and I opened it and I saw it through the little shiny package. I'm going to say, oh my gosh, Snoop-bosses do. It was so good and I gave it to Meg who loves Snoop Dogg.
Speaker 1So that was a good purchase. Meg's made both podcasts. Do you guys have any?
Speaker 2Hi, you're famous Meg, I'm gonna have to be a guest on here. She said, no way, I know.
Speaker 3She was her mom. I said there was video and she was there's video, nope, not having it.
Speaker 1So I feel like I've really been drinking since Thursday morning pretty much Like you start with mimosas, and then Friday's, black Friday's, so you gotta start with mimosas, mimosas, and then tomorrow's Monday, so I'm gonna have to start with mimosas. Saturday, with small business.
Speaker 2Saturday and you go to brunch and you have a mimosa, so like, and then once you have a mimosa, the day's pretty much over.
Speaker 1So you might as well keep going right.
Speaker 2So last night, after starting with a mimosa and then having some wine, I ordered have you guys seen these on your Facebook feeds, where you can order pajama pants with your dog's face?
Speaker 1Yes, I almost did?
Speaker 2I ordered some.
Speaker 1I ordered some, but I know they were so expensive too.
Speaker 2I know they're not for me, they're for Christmas presents.
Husband Gift Ideas and Botox Discussion
Speaker 3Is that who Landon? Yeah, cause he loves. I was gonna say you hate your dogs.
Speaker 2I don't even like my dogs. I'm not wearing their face all over my ass. And Landon loves the dogs Landon loves the dogs and he's away at school. So I was like, oh, he'll probably love these, I love them.
Speaker 1I actually got totally suffered, and I did that by the though, because I got to check out so it was a Facebook. It looked worse and it's so cute and it says get your dog's face on your pants.
Speaker 2And you're like okay.
Speaker 1So I opened it, did all the stuff and found the cute picture and all that jazz and then it was $60. $60.
Speaker 3So you paid the $60 and you did it.
Speaker 2I need to be more like that. Landon loved those I know, so you went through. I was so excited to go.
Speaker 3I was in the queen of going to the checkout and then freaking out, and then I'm just like, do I really need this? Like snoop on a stoop.
Speaker 1I do that at stores. I'll go into a store and, oh my gosh, I'm so bad, even if it's so annoying. We'll be at a store and I'm like, oh my gosh, she's like man that looks so great, I knew this. And we get to the checkout and I'm like I don't need this stuff and I literally throw it right there and we leave and she's like I'm sure this will work in LaVia.
Speaker 3I'm sorry, so you're the one when I'm going through the checkout and there's like a pair of like G strings hanging on my pants.
Speaker 1No, those are always fine.
Speaker 3It's like can never have enough lazy ass to leave these in the line.
Speaker 1I cannot afford this. Buy For $10 and this is the material I get. I don't like some. Oh God, that's good. I do want to, because I'm going to pour myself a little bit of wine. This was a gift.
Speaker 2It's like a dot. I was going to ask where you got that one.
Speaker 1It's a bird and it aerates your wine as a porcini. I listen. It chirps, Isn't it?
Speaker 2so sweet, doesn't it?
Speaker 1make you want to drink more wine. I mean you need help. I love it. You need help, Tom, that's a joy brother, actually it's actually adorable. It's cute. It's like a little blue bird.
Speaker 3So there's my bird and these nuts. Okay, so anybody wants to fuss off?
Speaker 1I'll leave you a helmet, and my helmet Go blue, oh my gosh. So what else do you guys get in your husbands?
Speaker 2for Christmas.
Speaker 3Husbands.
Speaker 2I mean? I mean I'm not sure Husbands, I mean my husband. It's always like a sitting room.
Speaker 3Yeah, see, my husband tends to get me. I started sending him stuff to get me because he used to get me things he wanted, like he'd buy me electronics and like coolers and things that like I thought it's self. I was like I don't even want this electronic, I don't want this cordless speaker, I don't want this new iPhone. So then I started sending him stuff for me. But I don't know, he's hard to buy, for I feel like he's a clean freak.
Speaker 3So recently I was on Facebook and it was late at night and this ad came across and it was like these little porcelain, I don't know what they are pods, and you put them in the back of your toilet and it says you don't have to clean your toilet out for 10 years. 10 years. I was a sucker. I got red flags all over my face.
Speaker 1I was a sucker, so you won't have to not clean your toilet for 10 years. Are you going to have to?
Speaker 3clean it out. Well, no, it's like hey, babe, look what I got for Christmas, you'll love it, not lingerie. It's like cleans a toilet, this is the life we live in.
Speaker 2I feel like one year he bought me a vacuum cleaner, so I feel like this is payoff. Oh gosh, he deserves a toilet.
Speaker 3So now, I just send him links and I forget so for like the past two months. I'll just send him random links and then he picks what he wants and then, when it comes, I'm like oh, I forgot, I sent you this.
Speaker 1Thank you, so you're already getting it.
Speaker 3No, I mean for gifts for me, like I don't want a vacuum cleaner anymore, so I send him links.
Speaker 1I know, but are they already got it? Yeah, you're already got them in the mail.
Speaker 3See when that's like they're like little porcelain things and you set them in the back of the toilet in the water and you set them there and they said they're guaranteed, so you can buy one.
Speaker 1What the hell? I heard it You're gonna reach your hand, and then you have your hand.
Speaker 2I don't wanna see what it is Like. Does it have chemicals in it? If any of you out there know about?
Speaker 1this can you share with us? Yes, because I totally can, so maybe when we do like.
Speaker 3let's do like an episode where we bring all our favorite, like stacking stuffers and gifts, and I will bring it in and show you Like the name of the one that you have in your toilet, though. No, let's bring it in. No, no, we have a comment about it, especially when I have to open it up what?
Speaker 1are you just gonna open it up when I'm in the video? If we're still doing this in 10 years, you know we're gonna love Ruff. I'm out, I don't care, you're gonna be 54.
Speaker 2In 10 years I'll be 54.
Speaker 3I'm gonna be gonna say how old, I'm gonna be Screw you yeah.
Speaker 1That's what I say. Sorry, nice to meet you. Let's be nice, katie, I'll still be getting Botox.
Speaker 3I'm close to getting Botox. I've never had Botox.
Speaker 1I feel like I need it Do you know what I think about this kind of stuff, because you know, when you're younger or not, even when you're younger, sometimes just the mindset is like why would you do that? And now I'm like, why wouldn't?
Speaker 3I do that. Oh, I remember thinking that why don't I want it?
Speaker 1If I want to feel good, I go to the gym every day, right? We work out every day we eat good. For the most part we drink our water that got turned into wine, and so why would it? When Jesus did this, why wouldn't we want to feel good? I mean, there's obviously limits, I guess that I would go to, but that's just personal, but for me I wouldn't say it's wrong, it's just something.
Speaker 2Maybe I don't do, but there's. I'm telling you, what if I had unlimited funding? There is no limit for me, See, that's the thing.
Speaker 3But we've talked about this. I don't like the filler. Everyone looks like I'm lying and howling with it.
Speaker 1But she's saying like whole body.
Speaker 3Yeah, she's saying the whole head lip filler and cheek filler, oh you didn't do the cheek, you didn't tell us that I don't notice, and you didn't even notice see, do you have it now?
Speaker 2It probably wore off. It was a while ago, did you notice? I did. Yeah, I noticed a huge difference in, like, my neck and chin area on a whole area.
Speaker 1You know, what I want to get rid of is here. So the neck and chin area.
Speaker 3Just wait, because I had a late night purchase for you maybe Was it in the Eastboro. No no, but it's coming and we're going to try it. We're going to try it when it comes. Yeah, I can't really.
Speaker 1I know I'm excited for this one you and your late night purchase. Oh, my God.
Speaker 3I was looking at it I was like, does that really work? And I was like, no, it doesn't. And I was like three in the cart.
Speaker 2In the cart they go Check it out.
Speaker 1January is going to be all the ridiculous presents that we got.
Speaker 2Oh, my God.
Speaker 1You guys can all witness us using them or talking about them.
Speaker 3That's what we're going to do for January this time of year is fun, but it's like so it's hectic, like I don't know. When the kids were younger it was harder. Now it's like my kids sent me an electronic list, like my youngest one is 12, and she sent me the whole thing electronically and I was like how is that a surprise? And she's like, well, I won't know which one you'll pick me, like there's a huge list.
Speaker 1You know, my kids did that too. I did not know her and go with same age, yes, but he's just a great offer. Because he did the same thing. He sent me this list, but all he wants is this football helmet that the school's going to issue one anyway, right? So he's not, and it's like expensive.
Speaker 3So Kevin bought Liam one his first year because I don't know Like we never wanted him to play football, because it was so rough and we knew he was going to, because it's like his thing ever since he was little. He's like if you take football away, you take my life away.
Speaker 2Like what?
Speaker 3So Kevin bought him like a special helmet, maybe his, I don't know. We had COVID year, so I don't even know if it was like seventh grade or eighth grade or what it was, but it was kind of cool. It was from a company that like tests. So what does he want?
Speaker 1Well, so like, honestly, this helmet before we made it gorgeous was just a regular speed flex helmet that we bought that way wrong. Forgive me, jack, I know you're going to yell at me, but it was something, and we bought it because when he was playing OJW we didn't know which is like a little kid football.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's like the Pop Warner age. And so we bought this. And then he was like I want a Michigan helmet. So we started looking and I'm like we're not spending that kind of money because like to get a real it's crazy, it was outrageous.
Speaker 3I didn't know that was a thing.
Speaker 1So Mike's a family member of Mike's does custom motorcycle painting, custom car painting. So we paid him and he went and bought automobile paint and this is all cost.
Speaker 2Like you can actually.
Speaker 1yeah, this is oh that's gorgeous, yeah, so, but that's like that like for us was like ridiculous. Yeah, I can't believe we're doing that, but will it, will it? Yes, and I'm like, no, I'm like here, why did?
Speaker 3the Christmas present, so it'll be like his one big gift, and it's one of those things too, like this you know, he's listing out stairs right now.
Speaker 1You saw this thing outside my garage, right? So I'm like it did all that money and it didn't even sell it ever so yeah, so that's what he wants. But and then Evelyn's, those damn the platform.
Speaker 3Nope the low, but the low and you go to my mother in law at Nordstrom I'm telling you I can't find the picture.
Speaker 1I go, she'll get a. She takes me today.
Speaker 3as a matter of fact, she will get them for you.
Speaker 1Mary, I'm coming your way, I'm like they're so cute.
Speaker 3I see I like the platform ones.
Speaker 1They're cute. But she wants the specific, but she wants the one, Everyone wants the same one. And then like.
Speaker 2That's exactly Parker. My daughter sent me a PowerPoint presentation For Christmas list.
Speaker 3Oh, my God.
Speaker 2With links to each thing.
Speaker 3And the shit is sold out.
Speaker 2I'm like dude, you better like find something that nobody else wants.
Speaker 1Even to this Instagram. They on Instagram you can do like a Like a photo link thing and just like pretty and it All right, that's an interesting joy.
Speaker 3I just poured my wine into my margarita, just to make it easier on myself Sounds good.
Speaker 1Um, I don't feel so good. That was gross.
Speaker 3So good, there was only a little left in the bottle. What did you do?
Speaker 1last week. That was gross.
Speaker 3I would know I was going to pour white wine. Oh, in the mind, yeah Into the red wine and then I pour the red wine into your. You forget, like I garbage, the Problems Like an issue. There was only a teeny bit left, no.
Speaker 1I. The drink is good, the salt is amazing.
Speaker 2Like I'm just like. I'm like Are you being real? I literally.
Speaker 3So I don't normally ever order, I always say sugar, but I love it. The margarita because it makes the drink taste like I don't know.
Future Fun and Exciting Plans
Speaker 1Just the contrast. I don't drink margaritas on this one. This margarita is absolutely delicious.
Speaker 3Well, I think that's like a sprig of rosemary.
Speaker 2And I think I can't do anything. I can make this drink Amazing.
Speaker 3Wait, let's rephrase this I know you can do everything.
Speaker 2I know you don't want to Right, that's true, listen, if I can pay for someone else to do it, I will. That is true.
Speaker 3All right, ladies, how long have we been chatting?
Speaker 2I think it's been a minute.
Speaker 1So I don't know I should we wrap this thing up, we shall, we'll get you another one bites the dots.
Speaker 3I know it's going to be so fun going forward.
Speaker 2We're going to keep talking about like, oh my gosh, there's so much coming up, like there's so much football coming up with, like bowl games, super bowls, like only a few months away and there's so much. And then we've got shopping and snacks and spring, yes, chris.
Speaker 1You know what that's. A great idea too is like what shopping ideas and if we find like deals. Yeah, like we can do them, or if you guys find deals, share them with us. And then we can talk about them.
Speaker 2Yeah, I love it. Yeah, we're going to have fun. All right, guys, we'll see you next time. Cheers yeah.
